Why register your trademark.
Registering your trademark is a must for any forward-thinking business owner.
Registering your trademark is a must for any forward-thinking business owner.
To ensure a smooth and efficient trademark registration process, we require the following information from you. Completing this usually takes less than 15 minutes.
For your Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance, we require the following: For individuals, a copy of your identification and, in some cases, proof of address. For juristic persons, a copy of company affidavit and a copy of the identification of the authorized signatory are needed.
You will provide us with basic details such as your trademark, your products and services, ownership rights, and other related information.
A Power of Attorney allows us to represent you and manage all related matters concerning your trademark registration.
Not all marks can be registered with the trademark office. We will assess if the mark is registrable and evaluate potential challenges in protecting your mark based on its distinctiveness. Also, we will help you select the class or classes that best fit the goods and services your mark will cover and help clearly define the specific goods and services.
We will prepare and file your trademark application with the relevant trademark office. We will continuously monitor the progress of your application every three months to ensure that the trademark office's examination proceeds according to the set timeline and conditions.
Upon receipt, the trademark office will assign an application number and forward the application to an examining registrar. The examining registrar will review the application to ensure it meets relevant rules and laws. We promptly advise you on responding to office actions and diligently craft strong defenses against any opposition when needed.
After the publication period has passed and oppositions (if any) have been overcome, we will pay the registration fees. Now your trademark is officially registered and you will receive your certificate of registration. The initial protection term is 10 years from the filing date.
To keep your registration active, we remind you to renew the mark before every expiry date. Also, we can help you detect unauthorized use of your trademark and enforce your rights to take them down.
