Goods are physical items that customers buy from you, like shoes or bags. Services are tasks you perform for others, like shoes and bags repair or event planning. In your trademark application, you can include both goods and services if you do both.

Keep in mind that registering a trademark for more goods or services than you currently use, or intend to use, may lead to your application being rejected or vulnerable to cancellation. You must also make sure that the categories (Trademark Classification) you select are accurate, acceptable, and properly represent your goods or services. Additionally, using broad or unclear terms like "consumer items" in your trademark application can result in rejection, as these do not specify recognizable goods.

In trademark regulations, all goods and services are organized into broad categories based on international agreements. Each category is assigned a number ranging from 1 to 45, known as an international class. There are many items listed in each class; however, goods and services are never in the same class. The list below shows what each class generally covers.
